DUGNAD: The Story of ISFiT
What if students ran the world? Every two years, the city of Trondheim (in Norway) hosts a two-week event that explores this unique question.
After 20 years, ISFIT has matured into a global consortium representing 100+ nations, 426 volunteers and 540 participants. This film is about the ideas and attitudes that transformed a simple vision into the largest student festival with a thematic focus…on the planet.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY— Over the course of 8 weeks, I collaborated with High School students (ages 15-18) to design a photography/storytelling mentorship program.
The above clip celebrates the stories of each student, the personal challenges they overcame and their completed exhibition. Despite the odds, 100% of the students who’ve completed this program (and a similar project I led two years ago) graduate high school + go to college or travel. Compare that to the 59% graduation rate for NYC.
In addition to curating their own exhibition, each student attended field trips throughout New York City to learn from world-class leading professionals in creative development, photojournalism and education.
Project Supporters Include: Behance, Magnum Photos, Duggal, Green Spaces, K&M Camera, Zhena’s Gypsy Tea and Dr.Kyra Gaunt.
